As the name promises, the Tante Ju restaurant is designed in an original workshop ambience and offers plenty of eye-catchers - and not just for aviation fans. Perfect for an outing with the whole family, as the spacious sun terrace is directly adjacent to the large adventure playground and the visitors' hill. There is also something for everyone on the culinary front: from the popular children's schnitzel with chips or chicken nuggets to nutrition-conscious cuisine with sophisticated salad creations. In the afternoon, coffee and cake tempt the day trippers.

The Sportalm is a paradise for nature lovers and deckchair chillers. It impresses on two levels. While a real gondola provides alpine flair in the indoor restaurant, the sun terrace on the upper floor on level 04 spoils you with a cozy alpine atmosphere and a great view of the Munich Airport Center forum. Sun on your nose, a fresh salad in front of your eyes - what more could a mountaineer's heart desire?

The view? Fantastic! Enjoy the perfect view of the apron, the satellite building and the runways. With binoculars, you can put yourself right in the middle of the action and observe the hustle and bustle of the airport at close quarters. Free access to the viewing terrace is via a staircase on level 05 above the check-in area in Terminal 2. An elevator is available for barrier-free access. As the catering facilities on the terrace will remain closed, vending machines with snacks and drinks will be available for you.

Germany's first surf park is located in Hallbergmoos, just a stone's throw from Munich Airport. From the panoramic terrace of the “Lookout” restaurant, which is run by airport subsidiary Allresto, you can watch the surfing action in the wave pool, which is open all year round. Stop by for a small breakfast, snacks, salads, burgers and a changing lunch and dinner menu.
